Niche
Artist book containing a photo‑based series of ten digital paintings that arose from one photograph, suggesting ten different manifestations regarding the actual.
Realised and presented as a site specific intervention at the watermill of the historical site of 'Huis Millen' in Sittard, NL, 2016.
'Niche' 1/10
The original image is layered with different skins during each alteration. That way the niche seems to contain or express different emotions. The work was inspired by the change of light which influences the perception regarding the same scene.
